Cynara cardunculus. Sweet, mild-flavored, 4" diameter artichoke. Slow to open and thorn-less for easier harvesting. Produces artichokes in first year, even here in the midwest! We cold teated them and they're ready for your garden. Grows 4' tall by 3-4' wide. Full sun. Grow in rich, evenly moist soil with good drainage. Zones 7-10.
