Sanguinaria canadensis. Clear white flowers. Sap, rhizomes and stems are red. Native to eastern North America. Mark location, as this ephemeral perennial disappears in mid to late summer. Woodland borders and gardens. Grows 3-6" tall by 8-12" wide. Blooms in spring. Part shade to shade. Plant in humus rich, moist yet well-drained soil. Zones 3-8.
