Sambucus canadensis. Native shrub produces gobs of berries for our feathered friends. Berries can also be made into a delicious wine, jelly or a possibly immune system boosting juice. Don't eat them raw. Researh medicinal uses before consumption. Hollow stems used for flutes. Can be used in border backs and screening. Grows 12' tall and wide, can be easily pruned. Blooms early summer. Full sun. Plant in loose, loamy soil. Zones 4-9.
