Foeniculum vulgare. Feathery, finely cut leaves have a mild anise flavor. Tall foliage does not develop a bulb. Yellow flowers bloom from July until October. Attracts butterflies. Good in borders and containers. Grows 4-6' tall. Blooms in summer. Full sun. Grow in moist yet well-drained soil. Zones 5-9.
