Zizia aurea. Herbaceous, perennial wildflower native to the eastern half of North America. A member of the carrot family with yellow flower umbels and toothed leaves. Best for woodland and prairie gardens, naturalizing and waterside. Grows 12-36" tall by 12-24" wide. Blooms in spring. Full sun to shade. Plant in moist, sandy soil. Zones 4-9.
