Sorghastrum nutans. Native prairie grass. Green clumps turn orange-yellow in fall. Brown inflorescence in fall above the foliage. Borders, backgrounds, mass plantings. Grows 3-5' tall by 12-24" wide. Blooms late fall. Full sun. Tolerant of a variety of well drained soils. Zones 4-9.
