Lavandula spica. An aromatic, mounded sub-shrub having upright stems with grey-green, needle-like foliage topped with lavender flowers. A commercial variety grown for oil, but still great in the garden. Grows 3' tall by 4' wide. Blooms mid to late summer. Full sun. Plant in loose, loamy soil. Zones 6-8.
