Schizachyrium scoparium. Compact native tall prairie grass with coppery brown plumes. Bronze-orange fall color. Borders, naturalizing and mass plantings. Grows 2-4' tall by 1½-2' wide. Blooms late summer to fall. Full sun. Plant in well drained soil. Zones 3-9.
