Asclepias incarnata. An herbaceous perennial having upright stems with long, narrow leaves and topped with clusters of pink-red blooms. Attracts butterflies! Asclepias is the only genus that Monarch Butterfly larva eat. Great in borders, for cut flower and woodland gardens. Grows 3-4' tall by 2-3' wide. Blooms mid summer to fall. Full sun to part shade. Plant in moist, loamy soil. Zones 3-9.
