Thymus serpyllum. Evergreen perennial herb has aromatic green leaves. Magenta flowers. Ground cover, rock or herb gardens, edging. Grows 2-3" tall by 12-18" wide. Blooms in summer. Full sun, with light shade in the hottest climates. Plant in lean, well-drained soil. Zones 4-9.
